Buildings in motion

Dynamic Tower

Architect David Fisher has announced plans for a rotating skyscraper or ‘Dynamic Tower’ to be built in Dubai and Moscow. Its planned that each floor will rotate at a different speed resulting in an ever changing profile, therefore as the architect puts it, “introducing a fourth dimension to architecture, Time”. The building’s have been designed to be built from pre-fabricated parts manufactured off site allowing for a construction time of seven days per floor. Their green credentials will be that once built, they will be able to generate their own electricity therefore becoming self-powered. If successful there’s plans to build a third tower in New York. You can download a brochure for the Dubai proposal here.
