Following on from the fantastic ‘The Stanley Kubrick Archives‘ comes Alison Castle and Christiane Kubrick’s ‘Stanley Kubrick, the Napoleon Film’. The book covers the two years of obsessive work Stanley put into his unrealised film on Napoleon Bonaparte which is often referred to as the greatest film he never made. There’s nothing on Taschen’s site about the release but it’s available for pre-order at Amazon for a shade under £300.

One further reason to get an iPhone. RjDj, an interactive music application that uses sensory input to generate and control the music you are listening to. The application uses ‘scene’s to define what you hear, these scenes react to audio input and/or input generated from the iPhone’s built in accelerometer and therefore reactively change what you’re listening to. On top of this there’s a built in recorder to record what you’re listening to. Sounds weird then check out Michael Breidenbruecker explaining the app.

Tobias Stretch’s winning stop-motion entry for Aniboom’s Radiohead animated music video contest. Looks like there was some tough competition with 900 storyboards submitted, but his entry for the track Weird Fishes is a worthy winner.

Genius. The video for Cut Chemists’ ‘My First Big Break’, shot with a 360° panoramic lens.
