• Weightbot the first in a range of utility bots for the iPhone/iPod Touch from Tapbot. Great interface and implementation. Download from the ITMS.

• The First 100 Days – Nice infographic detailing achievements by US President’s in their first 100 days of office
• Typeface – Documentary about Wisconsin’s Hamilton Wood Type Museum which explores the convergence of digital design and traditional printmaking.
• London (Harder, Better…) – David Hubert shows what you can do with 3000 photographs, Daft Punk and a bit of patience.

I love this collection of on-set Star Wars photos. Looks like the first film was great fun-to make. There’s more over at Flickr.

• Quatchi the Sasquatch, Miga the Sea Bear, and Sumi the Thunderbird – Meet the mascots for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, designed by ace illustrators Meomi Design.
• Possible – Type designer Jonathan Hoefler’s ‘all-typographic’ poster design for the Obama campaign
• Lomographic’s ‘Horizon Camera‘ – Clockwork panoramic cameras that produce some great images.

• City Shrinker – Nice collection of tilt-shift photography
• Wolda, the worldwide logo design annual announce their 2008 winners. Talking about logo’s, anyone seen Creative Reviews new identity?

• FontPark 2.0 – Interesting interactive toy that lets the user create and save typographic illustrations using Japanese letter forms.
• Boston.com’s The Big Picture does it again with this fantastic set of photographs from the recent Singapore Grand Prix.
• The Art of Kevin Dart – Some nice illustration work with a retro slant including these backgrounds for the Jamie Hewlett BBC Olympic spots

• Armen Antranikian, director of the short film Kubrick has uploaded the full version of Tony Kaye’s Kubrick interview to YouTube. Definitely worth watching again.
• London from above, at night – Another fantastic collection of photos showcased on Boston.com’s ‘The Big Picture‘. Taken by aerial photographer Jason Hawke.

• A galaxy not so far away – Great photo essay in this Saturday’s Guardian Weekend about sci-fi fans who like to dress up as their heroes. Photo’s are by Steve Schofield.

• Large Hadron Collider – Fantastic collection of photo’s of CERN’s 17 mile long particle accelerator via The Boston Globe. Check out the aerial view for the scale of all of CERN’s rings.
