• CycleStreets – Noted at the recent Cambridge Tech Demo Night, CycleStreets is a UK-wide bike journey planner. Currently in beta but looks very promising.
• TiltShift Generator – ToyCamera release their fifth toy for the iPhone.

Typenuts – Type inspired wallpaper themes for desktop and iPhone use.

• Remembering Apollo 11 – Another fantastic collection of images from The Big Picture
• Remix – Animated homage to Josef Müller Brockmann.
• The Typography Manual – Handy guide for the iPod Touch and iPhone.
• hid.im – Open source app that converts a torrent into a .png image.

• Moon – Duncan Jone’s homage to classic sci-fi starring Sam Rockwell is out in June. Watching the trailer there’s distinct parallels to Kubrick’s ‘2001‘ and the Clooney version of Andrei Tarkovsky’s Solaris especially with the overall-look of the film. Also worth checking out is Gavin Rothery’s concept art for the film.
• iPhone Math Apps – Round-up of math apps for the iPhone via Wired.
• Caught Jon Hopkins supporting Plaid at the recent Ether Festival. Got to say that his latest album ‘Insides‘ is my favourite album so far this year. Top notch electronica!

• Liking these Bike culture inspired photos from photographer Matt Lingo via ViaComIT.
• Skimmer – Nice looking social networking aggregation app from Fallon.
• FourTrack – Four track recording for the iPhone.

• Vision 2019 – Video from Microsoft Office Labs exploring existing and imagined technology concepts. There’s a good breakdown of the project here.
• Redesign Mozilla – Happy Cog share their design process for mozilla.org.
• Liking Mark Boulton Design’s redesigned site for Belgium’s De Standaard
• The periodic table of typefaces – Listing 100 of the most popular, influential and notorious typefaces today
• Ego – Stats app for the iPhone. Doesn’t work with Google Analytics yet but apparently that’s coming.

• Linotype update their ‘FontExplorer X‘ font management tool with a pro and server version. They’re currently running a ‘£30 off’ offer on the pro version which holds until 28th February.
• Meggy Jr RGB – DIY pixel scale handheld from Evil Mad Science.
• Trails – Been looking for something like this for a while. GPS iPhone app that lets you record, import and export tracks in .GPX format. Download from the ITMS.

• Camerabag – Image enhancement software for the iPhone/iPod Touch with some nifty built in filters. Download from the ITMS.
• Weightbot the first in a range of utility bots for the iPhone/iPod Touch from Tapbot. Great interface and implementation. Download from the ITMS.

• Save JPG Magazine – JPG Magazine announced on Thursday that they were closing down but it looks like there could be a reprieve with some last minute interest. It will be a shame to see it go as I always thought it was a great idea, having a print magazine showcasing photography from an online community. Show your support over at ‘Save JPG!‘.
• This is fantastic, video of Andy Warhol interviewing Steven Spielberg with Bianca Jagger hanging out in the background.
• Ecofont – Free font based on ‘Vera Sans’ with holes (like Dutch cheese?) that uses up to 20% less ink.

• Dutch design team ‘Experimental Jetset‘ relaunch their site showcasing a massive archive of work.
• Sayonara PingMag – Tokyo based Pingmag decide to call it a day. A shame as they posted some great articles.
• Bloom – A generative music application for the iPhone/iPod Touch from ambient godfather Brian Eno. Also available is a version of his ‘Oblique Strategies‘ card game, created in 1975 with Peter Schmidt.
