Pocket Noodle - Eventually, everything connects

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) have put their Graphic Design Archive online. The archives document the work of American graphic designers active from the 1920s to the 1950s as well as selected contemporary designers working in the modernist traditions and includes work from Saul Bass, Lester Beall, Alvin Lustig, Paul Rand and Massimo Vignelli.

• LittleBits – Open source electronic components for easy electronic prototyping. A bit like the Philips Radionic Kit I had when I was a kid but better!
• Pump-Hub – Semi-automatic bicycle tire pump that fits into a hub. Great idea!
• Enter the world of Eichler Design. Great resource on the Eichler range of modernist homes built during the period of 1949 to 1966.

• Modernism in Australia- Interesting Google Maps mash-up, though it could do with some more photos
• Issuu – A place where publishers can publish and readers can read. All for free.
• The 50 greatest arts videos on YouTube – According to the Guardian that is. Highlights include Kurt Russell’s Star Wars audition, John Coltrane performing ‘My Favourite Things’ and Joy Division’s TV debut.
