Typestar by Scott Garner is a kinetic type engine created with processing that renders song lyrics using a number of visualisation presets. Available to download complete with source code or you can watch it in action here.

Nodebox – a Mac OS X app’ that lets you create 2D visuals using Python. It’s already got quite an extensive library. Check out the gallery for some examples of what’s possible.

• Processing with javascript – Madness! John Resig, the guy behind the jQuery javascript library has done a port of the processing visualisation library to javascript using canvas. There’s a whole heap of demos on the site based on those from processing.org. Note: works best with the latest Firefox, Webkit Opera builds.
